Title deed

Also known as: Ownership deed

A title deed is the legal document proving ownership of a Dubai property. It is issued by the Dubai Land Department at handover.

The title deed is the final proof that you own a property in Dubai. It is issued by the DLD after handover and final payment.

For off-plan units, the Oqood certificate acts as the interim proof of ownership until the title deed is issued.

Title deeds are issued in both Arabic and English. They carry the DLD stamp, the property details, and the owner's name.

You will need a title deed to resell the property, to rent it out through Ejari, or to remortgage.
